– Wonderful giant bronze depicting a muscular man with an angry lion or tiger
– Piece stands in at almost seven feet tall – 2 metres
– Very dramatic and artist has really captured the classical scene with great skill
– Piece is signed Barrie on the base and this is a later recasting from the original

– Piece somehow epitomises the 1920s ethos and the idea of the classic female form
– Demetre Chiparus was one of the most famous art deco sculpturists working out of Paris in the 1920s
– The original to this piece recently sold at Christie is in London for 36,500 GBP
