– Piece has a foundry mark on the base, please see close up photos and this is a later recasting from the original
– Good size to the horse at almost two foot long
– PJ Mene was a famous French bronze sculpturist working out of Paris in the 1900s and he specialised in animals, particularly horses
– The silver plate really makes this stand out and the patina is superb
– We purchased this from a dealer on Rue De Rossiers at the Paris antiques market
