– Gorgeous art deco style bronze statue of the classic Tanara dancer by Chiparus
– This is a later high end recasting from the original
– Hopefully the photos illustrate the quality of the statue
– Look at things like the marble base with coloured white flecks, very good quality marble smooth and chip free
– Piece somehow epitomises the 1920s ethos and the idea of the classic female form
– Demetre Chiparus was one of the most famous art deco sculpturists working out of Paris in the 1920s
– The original to this piece recently sold at Christie is in London for 36,500 GBP
